What is Jungyae Moosul's Woodinville Martial Arts?
Jungyae Moosul is a decades old style of martial art, created by Won Kuk Kim, the present Master and owner. But beyond its origins and longevity, what is it that has allowed Jungyae Moosul to stand the test of time?
What is unique about Jungyae Moosul Martial Arts?

To answer those questions, one must go into the mind of the creator himself, Master Kim, and reflect upon his own observations on martial arts as a whole.

"There are literally thousands of unique martial arts systems and styles, all of which appear different in technique from one another. However, in their essence, they are all the same. A good way to envision it is by imagining a tree. If you were to look at a tree, you would see the hundreds of individual branches and leaves all unique from one another. However, if you were to trace each branch and leaf back to its origins, you would find that they all share the same system of roots. In a similar sense, the same holds true for martial arts. While every style may on the surface appear different from all the others, their root theories and principles are all the same. It is their use, presentation, and expression of these roots that make them unique."

Jungyae Moosul decides to take a step back and focus on the bigger picture. To channel one's focus from a branch or a leaf to instead the roots that connect one from the other. To teach the principles and theories that enable all other martial arts. To be able to explain why one might perform a technique in a certain way.
And to find connections among martial styles to allow for zero limitations in one's pursuit for martial arts knowledge.

That is Jungyae Moosul's Woodinville Martial Arts.
Who is Master Kim?
In 1956 Kim, Won Kuk was born in Dae Jun the capital of the Choong Chun Nam Do province, once the center of the Baek Jae Kingdom. He began studying the ancient Korean martial arts under the supervision of his father, Supreme Grand Master, Bok Man Kim.

The Kim family moved from Korea to Hong Kong in 1968, where he continued to study under the guidance of his father. Setting off on his own in October of 1981, Master Kim arrived in the United States. He spent his first few years traveling around the country, performing in Masters’ demonstrations and seminars, and illustrating the many benefits that can be derived from the study of martial arts. At the same time he carefully studied the current state of affairs of martial arts in America.

In 1985 Master Kim began to work on an idea that had been in his mind for many years; the development of a new and complete martial art which would teach all the theories, principles, and philosophies from the ancient martial arts in such a way that would make the new martial arts superior to any previously devised. The result was the creation of “JUNGYAE MOOSUL“ (Comprehensive Martial Arts Education).

His experience and expertise in instructing U.S. Army personnel and the Hong Kong Police Department enabled him to continue his studies while training law enforcement organizations. He successfully completed the National Law Enforcement training for handgun retention in March of 1985 in St. Charles, Missouri, becoming a certified instructor of the handgun retention system. He has since instructed numerous police officers and department heads in the area of self-defense, weapons training, and handgun retention.

Highly respected internationally, Master Kim brings a rare martial arts lineage to his students. With over 50 years of martial arts experience, he has assembled a program known for superior development of physical and mental attributes. He has devoted his life to teaching martial arts to people of all ages and skill levels from beginners to the most senior black belts.
